Romo Holds Court As Cowboys Close Out First Day Of Camp
(AP) The Dallas Cowboys have placed defensive tackle Jay Ratliff and guards Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings on injured lists before the opening workout of training camp. However this is changing as the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys have started training camp. It is likely designed this way so parents and kids can start getting ready for school- beginning for many in September. However, it still often leaves a gaping hole for kids to pass time.

Cowboys mailbag: The battle at linebacker
Romo spoke to reporters Sunday evening following the Cowboys first day of training camp, fielding questions as far-ranging as his health to his involvement in the teams play-calling. I feel good. Ive been throwing, Ive been running, Ive been doing all that stuff, Romo said. I was excited about getting out here honestly, just the smell of the grass and being out on the football field is a great feeling. You never want to take that for granted. Romo went through a full walkthrough and a two hour practice on Sunday in his first team activities since undergoing a micro procedure to remove a non-cancerous cyst in mid-April. The quarterback was present throughout the Cowboys offseason OTAs and minicamp, but was unable to participate until the start of training camp.
